MARKET TOURS – ( per person $100) Free on Saturday morning ? A vibrant market in the picturesque village of Howick awaits you! Join the locals in the hustle and bustle, enjoy some true taste sensations and fill your bag with fresh produce, pasta, salamis, cheese, pates and much more…! Then, wander through an olive grove before an informative tasting of olive oil or visit the beehives to experience what bee keeping is all about and try our luscious local honey. Time now, for some wines at an organic vineyard. Lastly, relax and enjoy infused oils and vinegars, hand made chocolates, spirits and liqueurs. Tour operates every Saturday 9.30 – 1.00.
Linger an extra hour with us at the vineyard and enjoy a platter lunch with wine for an extra $60.00 pp.
How about Sunday? Come along to the local Farmers’ Market and work your way around the stalls. Talk to the growers about their produce, the artisan food makers about their mouth watering goodies and be motivated to get inspirational in the kitchen! With us, you have the opportunity to sample foods that the casual visitor misses out on. That’s not all – we visit a renowned organic vineyard to sample wines and lastly, to round off a perfect morning, enjoy a tasting of spirits, liqueurs and handmade chocolates. Tour operates every Sunday morning 9.30 – 1.00.
Spend a leisurely 2-3 hours with us after the market and enjoy a long lunch with matching wines at a local vineyard and venison farm or at a renowned olive oil estate restaurant for an extra $120.00 pp. Or, relax for an hour over a platter lunch at a vineyard while enjoying extensive views of the vines. Vineyard platter lunch, with wine $60.00 pp.
MARKET TO TABLE TOUR (per person $140) Time for a culinary treat? Start your Saturday or Sunday morning with us at one of our bustling local markets and then enjoy a gourmet cooking class! Enjoy tasting your way around the stalls and be introduced to our artisan food producers. We will select the very best ingredients for you and then show you how to transform them into a true, seasonal, gourmet meal for you to enjoy. On Saturday this tour includes a tasting of oils, vinegars, handmade chocolates and distilled spirits and liqueurs. On a Sunday we visit Auckland’s only award winning organic vineyard to sample their superb wines and wander through the beautiful vineyard. Tours operate the first Saturday and Sunday mornings of each month 9.30 – 2.00. Minimum four people or by arrangement.

READY FOR A FOOD ADVENTURE? Staying in or near Auckland CBD? Want to get off the beaten track and experience the best of rural New Zealand? Then take the ferry from Pier 3 down town in Auckland CBD and chug across the sparkling waters of the Waitemata Harbour to Pine Harbour Marina. Black Rabbit will be there waiting to take you on your choice of tour. Alternatively, catch the train at Britomart, Auckland CBD and we will meet your train at Papakura. After a tour of sensational taste delights we will return you to the marina or station laden with wonderful food, wine and memories to savour forever. If you are staying in our region we are happy to collect you from your accommodation or meet you at our local starting point. Our Gourmet Taste Tours, Gourmet Extravaganza Tour and Taste & Sculpt Workshop schedules coincide with arriving and departing ferries and trains. GOURMET TASTE TOUR – Clevedon (per person $130) Only a short amount of time? This is the tour for you! Meet the bees and taste luscious energy boosting honey at our local apiary, wander through an organic vineyard, sample the wines while drinking in the spectacular views. Get close to nature and taste heirloom tomatoes and our famous Clevedon buffallo mozzarella. Relax a while at an olive oil estate while enjoying an informative olive oil tasting. Next, infused vinegars, spirits and liqueurs are waiting to be sampled and then it’s time for a decadent chocolate treat! This four hour tour operates Monday to Saturday mornings and afternoons or by arrangement.
GOURMET TASTE TOUR – Franklin ( per person $150) Want a tour with a difference? We’ve got it! Sit back and enjoy the drive through rural Franklin to the country town of Pukekohe, stopping to taste the luscious honey at Happy Valley Honey on our way. Once in bustling Pukekohe, we embark on a short walking tour of true delights! First stop at NZ Made Direct, taste oils, vinegars, chutneys, jams and more. Around the corner a local florist will demonstrate how to give your dinner party table the wow factor, by teaching you how to make flax flowers. Find out that healthy food actually does taste good when we meet an allergy and food intolerance expert and then be spoilt with a scrumptious morning tea and handmade chocolate tasting! Lastly, try out some all natural NZ Skincare products before heading back to base with plenty of goodies to enjoy later! This 4 hour tour runs Monday to Saturday mornings and afternoons or by arrangement. If you would like to include lunch and an olive oil tasting at a renowned olive oil estate this tour runs to 5 1/2 hours, for an additional $60.00 per person.
GOURMET EXTRAVAGANZA TOUR ( per person $220) Got some comfy shoes? Join us for a day like no other! Experience the delight of tasting heirloom tomatoes and local buffalo mozzarrella cheese and salami in a paddock. Enjoy a wine tasting at Auckland’s only organic vineyard then taste our delicious, sweet, natural honey. At one of New Zealand’s top award winning olive oil estates, wander through the trees before tasting and learning how the delicious oil is made. After lunch and a relaxing drive along the beaches of the beautiful Pohutakawa Coast we will tempt your tastebuds with handmade chocolates and the unsurpassed flavour of distilled spirits and liqueurs. This tour operates Monday to Friday 10.00 – 4.30 and includes a local, rural cafe or a vineyard platter lunch.
TASTE & SCULPT WORKSHOP ( per person $170) Time to learn a new skill? Join us for an amazing resin sculpture workshop. No experience necessary – honestly! You can learn to create gorgeous Garden Ladies with a renowned local sculptor. Not only that, but there is also time to enjoy a light lunch of local food and wine. Gather your friends, family or colleagues and get creative. Each person makes two Garden Ladies to take home! These sculptures are easily transported in your luggage if you are travelling, they stand 37 cms high and without the stake weigh as little 128 grams. This workshop is available Monday to Sunday 10.30 – 2.30. Minimum of four people per workshop.
