Who we are
Black Rabbit Gourmet Food Tours are a must for tourists and residents who enjoy food, wine, stunning scenery and having fun!
Our region has a thriving food and wine culture that we want to share with you. We are located just 40 minutes south of Auckland CBD and only 15 minutes away from Auckland International Airport.
We cater for groups of five or less to ensure that you will always receive a warm friendly welcome from our boutique food and wine producers. Our tours are unique and no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to wander through an olive grove, sample our local olive oil and olives, taste handmade chocolates, honey, locally grown fruit and vegetables, fresh local oysters and more. Of course you will also be welcomed at our local vineyards to taste their award winning wines. Our guide Trisha, is a local foodie who is committed to promoting our region in a fun and knowledgelable way.
- All our tours include vineyard visits and cater from 2-5 people. Single bookings can be accomodated.

Tours
We offer a choice of four tours. During each tour you will have the opportunity to visit local artisan food producers to chat, learn about and sample some of the best food in the world. At our vineyards you can relax amongst the vines and taste our award winning wines. Heaven!
Farmers' Market Tour
During this four hour Sunday tour with Trisha, taste your way through our bustling local market while filling your baskets with local, seasonal goodies. After a well deserved morning tea and chocolate tasting it's off to a vineyard and a visit to Prenzel in Whitford!
Four Hour Tour
On our half day tour you can choose from two different routes depending on your tastebuds! Trisha will take you to meet five local food producers. The tour starts in the famous Ciao Bella Store with a local food tasting that changes with the seasons! You will also enjoy a wine tasting and a wander through the vines at one of our local vineyards.

Six Hour Tour
A full day of savouring handmade and locally grown products.
With Trisha, you will meet a selection of seven food producers and store owners as well as visiting two vineyards, so wear your comfy shoes! There is still time to relax over lunch and compare notes! This full day tour is a true gourmet delight!

Ferry Tour
Start this six hour tour with a picturesque ferry ride across the waters of the Waitemata. If you are staying in Auckland City, the ferry tour is a simple and charming way to visit our region. The ferry leaves from Pier 3 in downtown Auckland for Pine Harbour Marina every forty minutes throughout the day.
Trisha will greet you at the Marina and take you for a fun day of tasting our local delicious foods and wines. At the end of a very busy day you can relax on the ferry back to Auckland laden with wonderful food, wine and memories!
